China, U.S. M&A Reviews Diverge Year After Accord

 The outcomes of regulatory reviews of three large deals show the differing approach that Chinese regulators continue to take from their U.S. counterparts one year after antitrust regulators from the two countries signed an agreement promoting greater cooperation on merger review.

In two cases, Chinese officials imposed conditions where U.S. regulators imposed none, while in a third, terms placed on the deals differed greatly, lawyers said.
